she’s a great girl and has been very athletic her whole life. she even danced with the indianapolis ballet in the nutcracker! she’s a great girl and LOVES cheering – so dare slog over there and click!!!!!
want to learn to row? this is how i did it
there are still classes open here in the tidewater and most likely at a boathouse near you!
groomer has it - there’s a new show an animal planet that is right up my alley! i missed i think just the first episode, but you KNOW it’ll be rerun to death, so i set my tivo today! it’s a reality show pitting dog groomers against each other ala project runway – love it! side note- the magpie is sick. not sure whats wrong with her, but she didn’t want to walk this morning, then finally did hop down and we made it downstairs. she walked a little, seems slow, but not limping then kinda laid down and looked at me. fortunately, she did not bite me when i picked her up to bring her upstairs as she might if she were feeling well. so i laid down on the floor with her a bit, then when i got up on the couch, she hopped up. she ate one treat this morning (her eating is finicky, so that means nothing). hasn’t had anything to drink. no vomiting, doesn’t feel warm. not panting. clear lungs, pulse regular. she guards her tummy a little bit and gets to shaking if i fuss at her too much – like when i take her to the groomer. she has passed doggy gas (yuck) during the day, so, as a medical professional, at least that is a sign her bowels are doing something – no doggie ileus. nothing unusual to my knowledge in the last few days. didn’t eat anything weird. she did this once before a few months ago and i had to work the next day and i flipped out and took her to the emergency vet – they were great, but found nothing wrong. they did give her a pain shot and we went home where i watched my dog be on drugs for the night. she was fine by the next night. so, since i am on call, i am going to wait it out tonite. i hope my little baby is ok. i almost feel like she has a muscle spasm or something. i dunno. will watch. did you know there is a merck manual for animals?!
respect MY authori-tay!!!
this story ran on april 5 on npr. i don’t ever really watch south park, it goes scatalogical too frequently for me to really get into it, but whenever i see clips here and there, i laugh. the “dog whisperer” dominating cartman? classic! also, cartman does the “proust questionnaire” (think “the actors studio”). heh.
