i have a mental list of “things my man and i need to do”. a while back, a friend helped me compile them in written form and it is seeming fitting at this time that i might float this out there, for any interested party to make note…
Things We Need to Do (a work in progress)
1. Lisa’s Pepsi Challenge
2. Go to Disneyland together
3. Verandah room on the Disney Cruise Line
4. Visit San Francisco
5. Create a podcast/blog
6. Vacation somewhere in Europe
7. Move in together
8. Learn some type of dance together, preferably swing, salsa or ballroom
9. Run a marathon
10. Watch The Blues Brothers
11. Dress as the Blues Brothers for Halloween
12. Throw a surprise party for one of us
13. Go scuba diving
14. Take a hike in the Smoky Mountains
15. Run a fantasy football/baseball team together and DOMINATE!
16. Go to a Broadway play
17. See (insert favorite band here) in concert
18. Exchange gifts on Christmas morning
19. Kiss at midnight on the New Year
20. Decide on a tattoo for each of us (no names or anything goofy like that)
21. Go to a pro baseball and a pro football game
22. Get our picture together professionally
23. Go on a picnic
24. Play Pictionary. Draw something resembling anything.
25. Go bowling
26. Re-learn french. Celebrate in Paris.
27. Kiss along the waves of a beach
28. Get our pictures taken in a photo booth
29. Build a snowman. And snow angels. In a place where we do NOT live, because snow is incompatible with life.
30. Get take out Chinese food and eat it straight from the container
31. Spend a whole day in bed together (just one?)
32. Take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage
33. Throw a party (Super Bowl, Oscars, etc)
34. Go to the Kentucky Derby
35. Make love on the dining room table (not the kitchen floor, as there are these very hard, cold mexican tiles…)
36. have a dinner party
37. eat at the chefs table, V&A
38. get into club 33
39. lay at the pool all day
40. get a friend for maggie
41. go to a spa
42. spend a weekend in new york city
43. Go to the batting cages
44. Watch the entire 1st season of ‘The West Wing’
45. Spend an afternoon at an outdoor art festival
strangely, i am feeling weirdly optimistic right now. and i am not even drunk.
