fantasy football makes me want to kill myself

and yet… i keep playing (thanks alot, brian!)… i pride myself on my strategic lack of strategy which is…my strategy. by that, i mean this:

• do not participate in the draft. i am POSITIVE yahoo will rank the players better than i will (especially since i rank them on individual hotness factors, not necessarily the same fan points yahoo counts)
• every tuesday make sure none of your players have a bye this upcoming week (i have learned this one the hard way)
• keep crazy trading and smack talk to a minimum. just show up and play. so to speak.

this dynamic strategy has brought me to the play offs almost every year that i have been playing and then…. choke! this year i do have the giants defense and the patriots kicker. i am feeling good about that. the offense, not so sure – matt hasselbeck? i don’t know.

sadly, i am now 0-1.

but. todays secret word is: strategery

UPDATE: in a stunning burst of strategery, i have just spent 20 minutes rereading my yahoo player updates, trading out an injured WR and deciding to go with aaron rodgers over hasselbeck…..
